day one, first impressions

ok when attempting an great adventure such as the one that we are, you need to be prepared for every eventuality possible.however in early april there is one which you would think highly unlikely in a place such as northern France. This came as a shock to our systems whilst donning our shorts on the ferry, getting ready for a beautiful days cycling and un-locking our bikes. SNOW......thats right you heard me correctly F-ing SNOW. Now as we werent ready for such an occurance and we had a slight lack of sleep due to our friends murphey and act-a-tw@t we decided that the tourist information on the map would be of great use to us...however the one we wanted didnt seem to exist and the other was on the other side of the town and shut, so after pondering re-boarding the boat and coming home in the freezing cold we went to the closest hotel ....however shanes tight shorts seems to have given them the wrong idea about us so they swiftly re-directed us to another hotel more"suitable" to our needs.(2 beds, floor, walls, bike space and roof, all the mod cons). after this somewhat jittery start to the day we finally managed to get out to the town and doss about.shane has already had his Paulo Nutini moment (new shoes) and wont stop singing the dam song to it.never mind the other sweep stakes it should be how long till i kill him.........
this lovely internet cafe has thrown up another problem. the letters Z W M A . @ all of these are not in the correct places by our ever so well adjusted opinions.(bloody french).you have no idea how hard this alredy is so taking twice as long and making shane pay twice as much. oh well.
oh and dont worry after assessing my scouting sense of direction we have brought some maps instead.
oh and one more thing on a personal note (joe) first blood to me and tally 1:0 to the love machine!!!!(on the ferry get in)
untill the next time.....
shane and joe
